Athenian Academy is at full capacity with 410 students. 

Welcome to Athenian Academy of Technology and the Arts, where an incredible adventure awaits your child! We are accepting applications for the 2023 – 2024 school year and 2024 – 2025 school year. If you have a child currently enrolled in the school and wish to apply for a sibling, you must submit an application for the sibling. Our enrollment lottery dates for the 2024 – 2025 school year are December 11, 2023 for kindergarten and January 9, 2024 for 1st – 8th grade. How to Apply

  1. Complete the Enrollment Application located at the top of the page. The Application must be submitted online. If you lack internet access at home, the application may be completed electronically in our front office.

  2. In accordance with F.S. 1002.33(10), federal and state nondiscrimination laws,  preferential enrollment may be given to the following student populations:

                A.        Students who are siblings of a student enrolled in the charter school.

                B.        Students who are the children of a member of the governing board of the charter school.

                C.        Students who are the children of an employee of the charter school.

                D.        Students who are the children of an active duty member of any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.

  3. Please note that not all schools offer the same services. If the applicant requires services that are not offered at our school, the school district will assist the charter school, the student, and the family in identifying the best placement for your child’s success.

  4. Students residing in the District may not be displaced by a student from another district seeking enrollment under this Controlled Open Enrollment Process.  Preferential treatment shall be given to students residing in the Pasco County School District.

  5. All communication will be sent to the e-mail address indicated on the Enrollment Application. Parents are responsible for keeping this information up-to-date. If contact information changes, please notify the school immediately.

  6. Parents will be notified via e-mail at the conclusion of the lottery and will have 48 hours to respond and complete the required paperwork.

  7. Upon receiving an acceptance letter via e-mail, families will have one week (seven days) to respond and complete all registration paperwork. If the school does not receive an email response and the completed registration paperwork within seven days, the applicant will be placed at the bottom of the wait list. The following registration paperwork will be required to maintain your space.

  • Home Language and Domicile Survey

  • Free/Reduced Lunch Form

  • Proof of Residency (Copy of Legal Guardian’s Photo ID, Copy of a Utilities Bill, Copy of  Lease Agreement, etc.)

  • Proof of Immunization

  • Proof of Physical Examination (Within the last 12 months)

  • Evidence of age (i.e. Birth Certificate, Passport, etc. – photocopies will not be accepted)

  • Proof of Guardianship (if student not living with parents)

  • Special Programs Information (Copy of IEP, 504, or gifted plan, if applicable)

  • Copy of most recent report card

  • Copy of any standardized testing grades 3 – 8 (if applicable)

  • ESOL/ELL, literary folder, and any conduct/discipline actions (if applicable)
